Darkness to light-Stewards of Children
Interested in raising awareness of child abuse? Want to know how to prevent, recognize, and react to child abuse? Do you work with youth and want to keep them safe? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should consider attending or hosting a Darkness to Light presentation.
The goal of this presentation is to educate our community’s leaders and adults on the issue of child abuse, especially sexual abuse. The presentation includes materials that teach participants about healthy youth development including normal behaviors and sexual maturity. Warning signs of abuse are also presented to the group so that mandated child abuse reporters know what to look for and when to make a report to the Department of Human Services. Together, we can be responsible for the protection and healthy futures of children in our communities.
